Lydia Floyd is Of Counsel at Peiffer, Wolf, Carr & Kane APLC and manages the Firm's Cleveland office. Lydia focuses her practice on representing individuals and class members in cases that have significantly affected their lives. She currently represents individuals and families against fertility clinics, victims of fraudulent schemes and victims of police abuse and brutality. Lydia also has represented clients in complex commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, contract disputes, disputes over property rights and energy litigation. She also works pro bono on asylum and immigration cases for women and children from South America.
Prior to working at PWCK, Lydia worked for many years in large law firms where she represented corporate clients in multi-million dollar lawsuits. She also had the honor of working as a law clerk for Judge James G. Carr, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Ohio.
Lydia graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law as a member of the Order of St. Ives. While in law school, Lydia served as the Articles Editor for the Denver University Law Review and as a member of the appellate moot court team. Lydia received her undergraduate degree from Miami University where she studied marketing and entrepreneurship.
Lydia is admitted to practice in Ohio, Illinois and Colorado.
Beyond the courtroom, Lydia frequently speaks at Mid-Day Toastmasters Club. Lydia is the Newsletter Editor for AAJ's Business Torts section. She is also a member of the Nathaniel R. Jones Inn of Court, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, Trumbull County Bar Association and Mahoning County Bar Association.
