Because of our size, our associates obtain hands-on experience early in their careers. Generally speaking, associates at our firm are likely to be given more discretion and responsibility, subject to appropriate supervision, than their contemporaries at larger firms. We typically require that applicants finish at the top of their law school class, serve as members of their law review, or otherwise demonstrate academic excellence. While we generally prefer to hire our associates upon graduation from law school or at the conclusion of a judicial clerkship, we do hire highly qualified laterals.
Law Clerk Program
Each year, we seek highly qualified law students for our clerkship program. Our law clerk program provides law students with a real opportunity to do hands-on legal work and often participate in the actual day-to-day work of the attorneys, such as attending closings, due diligence sessions, trials, court hearings and depositions.
